Diving Festival and Skandalopetra
Games of Kalymnos Island Greece in which you participate free of charge .
When / Where / Who
The event will be held on Kalymnos island Greece
from July 18 to July 24 2011 with the participation and support
of
Participation and Fees.
The participation to the events of Kalymnos Diving Festival and Skandalopetra Games is
free of charge.
No participation or other fees are required (this does
not include scuba diving, accommodation, food, transportation and fees for
the
CMAS Apnoea International Judge Course )!
The Skandalopetra dive
is more than 2000 years old
is easy
is safe
is spectacular
offers
fun
is a unique lifetime experience
Everybody from 8 to 70 years old can try it to a limited depth.

The Skandalopetra Games include:
The introductory part in which the history of
the Skandalopetra dive
is presented.
The educational part in which anyone interested, learn the basics of apnea.
The trial part in which anyone can try the
Skandalopetra dive at a limited depth.
The experimental part for new disciplines.
The training part for the competition.

The competition
Participation to the competition requires a medical certificate.
There will be only 1 discipline at the competition.
It is the discipline described in the
Regulation of the Skandalopetra
Freediving Games and in brief at the
Athletes Guidelines .
Other variation disciplines might been experimented but not included in the competition.
FIPSAS trainers will also offer advise and training to the CMAS
discipline "Dynamic Apnea".
